In 2009, the Farmville Economic Development Council helped create a 501(c)3, Farmville Grows Economic Investment, Inc., a private non-profit committed to economic development in accordance with its charitable purpose of support for the community and assistance to businesses at a disadvantage in the market. The 501(c)3 affords additional opportunities for economic development in the community through the charitable mission.
